Salah to Real Madrid? Highly Likely

Ever since Manchester City announced signing of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund, the world has waited for Liverpool’s response to the mega transfer by title rivals.

However, it seems the Merseyside club’s focus is on extending the contracts of its stars; Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane who look to be out next summer.

The talk about whether Salah will extend his contract at Liverpool is what the media so far are deliberating on as things look to have stalled in the negotiation end so far.

Both Salah and the club have remained tight-lipped so far on the nature of the negotiations but there are genuine fears among the Reds fan base as ‘The Egyptian King’ could be on his way out.

Salah and Sadio’s Liverpool contracts expires in June 2023, meaning this summer could be his last for Liverpool, and with things dragging out between Paris Saint German and Real Madrid for Mbappe, it’s not farfetched to think either club might switch attention to the Liverpool forward as alternative replacements.

And with Liverpool looking to replicate the Philippe Coutinho coup, this might be the only summer to cash in on Salah if he chooses not to renew.

With reports stating Mbappe could well stay put at PSG, there are suggestions that Salah could become Real Madrid’s hot new signing of the summer.

“I thought they [Liverpool] would do all they could to keep him,” Crook said on The Boot Room. “There have been some public statements, suggestions they haven’t quite managed to come up with an agreement yet. Real Madrid haven’t signed Kylian Mbappe, that’s still up in the air. I think if he does stay then surely Mo Salah is next on the list and if Mo Salah does leave Liverpool then Real Madrid will probably be the only club that would attract him.” Alex Crook said on talksport.
