Sadio ‘the main’ Mane Reacts To Senegal’s Defeat

Quite a lot of what ifs in the world cup tournament especially for the Teranga Lions of Senegal in their game against the Three Lions of England, what if Sadio Mane was present for the game, could it have yielded in a somewhat more positive result?

What if the absent midfielders were present for Senegal, would it have given Senegal at least the edge? A lot of what ifs that at the end of the day, ends up what it is; a ‘what if’.

The former Liverpool man, Sadio Mane had a few words to say regarding to his country and team crashing out of the tournament in quite an unceremonious fashion.

Sadio Mane, the currently injured forward for Senegal, responded to his nation’s 3-0 World Cup loss to England on Sunday.

Mane, who was forced to withdraw from the current World Cup owing to a knee injury, expressed his pride on his Senegal colleagues’ progress to the round of 16 of the competition in Qatar.

The Three Lions defeated Senegal thanks to three goals from Harry Kane, Bukayo Saka, and Jordan Henderson.

Reacting, Sadio Mane, in a post on his Instagram account, wrote:

“Dear brothers, the people are very proud of your journey and you have put the balm in the hearts of Senegalese and all supporters by defending the national flag with dignity. Continue learning and good luck. We will go in search of more trophies Inshallah.”

England will now play France in the quarterfinal round, after seeing off Senegal from the tournament.
