Sadio Mane Enduring A Tough Time In Bayern

Former Liverpool star, Sadio Mane according to reports seems to be enduring quite a tough time at Munich ever since he made the move to Bayern, and just before the Qatar World Cup, an injury sustained in a 6-1 win against Werder Bremen may jeopardize his World Cup dreams with Senegal.

Sadio Mane, who is a forward for Senegal, left the game limping after only 12 days due to an injury, and Bayern Munich has since offered an update on his condition. The 2022 FIFA World Cup will begin in Qatar.

The 6-1 victory over Werder Bremen on Tuesday night left Mane with a knock, and the Bundesliga winners are hoping he avoided a more serious injury.

Bayern is now four points ahead of Bremen in the Bundesliga standings thanks to the victory over Bremen.

The 30-year-old Mane went down with a knee injury that required treatment after only 15 minutes of the match, however, overshadowing the outcome.

As he proceeded straight down the tunnel for additional treatment, the former Liverpool star was replaced by the former Man City player Leroy Sane.

In his post-game press conference, Bayern manager Julian Nagelsmann expressed his optimism that Mane’s injury would not be serious.

Nagelsmann said that he anticipates hearing more about Mane’s injury on Wednesday.

“I didn’t see him after the game, I hope it’s not a big injury. But I don’t know at the moment, the Bayern boss said. ‘We’ll see tomorrow and then give an update,” Nagelsmann said at his post-match press conference.

Dino Toppmöller, the assistant coach for Bayern Munich, provided a little more encouraging report on Mane’s injury.

Toppmöller told reporters after the game: “He got hit on the nerve in the knee area. Apparently, it’s nothing that bad.”

According to reports recently, the Senegalese star informed close friends that he misses former club, Liverpool and ex- teammates.
