Sadio Mane: End of an Era
It appears Liverpool’s swan song with Senegalese star, Sadio Mane is over as the former Southampton man is confirmed to have reached a personal agreement with German side; Bayern Munich.
The news came up on Wednesday afternoon as sources close with both clubs leaked the news online.
It is said Bayern Munich have tabled a 3 year offer to the Liverpool forward which he has agreed to on personal terms.
Mane, who is 30 was recently asked on his future with the Reds, but chose in that time not to come on so as not to be distracted from the event he had in focus, which was the 2021/22 Champions League final.
The Senegalese did promise to give a statement after the final but sadly hasn’t granted a word to the media in the moment. But reports after the final defeat, reveals the star forward has informed the club of his decision to leave in the summer.
The both clubs, Liverpool and Bayern Munich are yet to agree on terms but the reports say the two parties are in negotiation over brokering a deal.
The reports also reveal that aside Bayern Munich, Barcelona and PSG were interested in the forward but Bayern are the ones who have sealed personal terms with him.
“He has spoken directly to Julian Nagelsmann. Now up to clubs to agree a fee. Liverpool and Bayern Munich began official talks yesterday.” A source connected to the news alleged.
Mane joined Liverpool from Southampton in 2016 and has gone on to win the Champions League, Premier League, Club World Cup, FA Cup and League Cup with the Reds, scoring 120 goals in 269 appearances for the Merseyside club.
He also led Senegal to the African Cup of Nations glory in February.
