Runtown releases ‘Tradition EP’ one week ahead of schedule
Talented Nigerian R&B singer, Douglas Jack Agu, better known as Runtown, has released his much-anticipated EP, a week earlier than the initially announced release date.
Dubbed ‘Tradition’, the six-track electronic play, which earlier had its release earlier scheduled for May 31, 2019, embodies tracks like ‘Redemptions’, ’emotions’, ‘Goose Bumps’, ‘Tradition’, International Badman Killer’, and ‘Unleash’.
“My team is probably going to kill me for doing this. I honestly tried my best to stick to the plan but I just couldn’t wait,” Runtown said while breaking news of the EP’s release to his 2.7 million Instagram followers.
“By the time you see this, the Tradition EP will be available on all streaming services. It was initially scheduled for May 31st but I couldn’t wait any longer. I have broken the protocols because I want you guys to have the music as quickly as possible. Do me a favour, stream the EP until you can sing every single song word for word.”
‘Unleash’, the last track, which features Fekky, London-based rap artiste, appears to be the only collaborative song in Runntown’s new release. The EP represents his debut body of work under Soundgod Music Group, his own record label.
The EP spans Afrobeats and Afropop and is produced by Dell B, Spellz, ElPuto and Ransome Beatz.

The gifted singer had earlier announced that he will be dropping his debut EP as an independent act while breaking the news of his forthcoming six-track release.
Prior to that, Runtown had been saddled with the legal procedures accompanying his exit from Eric Many Entertainment, his erstwhile record label.
