Ruger finally ends longtime beef with colleague, BNXN
Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter, Michael Olayinka, best known as Ruger has revealed the reason he put a stop to the longtime beef he had with Buju, aka BNXN.
The Afrobeats sinfer stated that comparison destroys joy even though it is necessary for the game, they realised that it would favour them to look beyond tthat and come together to make good music to their fans.
The songwriter also spoke about the inspiration behind his latest singles ‘Luv Again’ and ‘Make Way’ and what necessitated the release of R&B.
According to him, artistes are releasing below par music but using money to promote it, however the difference can be noticed in ‘R&B’ which he recorded with BNXN.
Ruger said; “Comparison is a killer of joy, but it’s necessary for the game. This is what is entertaining these people. The arguments and all that.
“We looked beyond that [the comparisons] and asked ‘How can we push good music together?’ Because there’s a lot of distractions now in the music space.
“Some people are releasing things that are not good, but they are using money to push it and it’s flying. If you look at the ‘RnB’ project, it’s very good music.”
