Ruben Amorim does the ‘Ten Hag’
Former Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag rattled the entire fanbase when he stated that his Red Devils team will never play like his old Ajax side that had excited world football in the 2018/19 season.
Now, incoming Manchester United Head Coach Ruben Amorim is doing the same ahead of his move to Old Trafford.
The Portuguese manager has been doing a lot of talking after his move to the Premier League was confirmed a few days ago. Following his 4-1 defeat of United’s arch rivals, Manchester City, Amorim seems to be making the same gesture that his predecessor Erik ten Hag made.

Ruben Amorim: Time to get excited for the Manchester derby
Ruben Amorim has categorically cleared the air regarding what fans of Manchester United should expect ahead of his move to Old Trafford, and sadly for fans of Sporting Lisbon’s 4-1 win over Manchester City, the Red Devils will not play like Sporting.
The Portuguese manager in a quote following the humbling of Pep Guardiola’s team said;
“We can NOT transport one reality to another context. Manchester United cannot play the way we play, they cannot play so defensively, and we will have to adapt ourselves.”
Going by whichever angle Amorim is speaking from, fans will no doubt draw comparisons or allude to what Erik ten Hag said a few months ago to the press.
Will this create unwanted parallels for the Portuguese?
