"Ronaldo doesn't know how to play football" — Antonio Cassano

In a jaw-dropping outburst, former Real Madrid striker Antonio Cassano has reignited his long-standing feud with Cristiano Ronaldo, delivering his most controversial critique yet.

During a recent appearance on the Viva El Futbol podcast, Cassano stunned fans worldwide by claiming, “Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t know how to play football.”

This audacious remark comes despite Ronaldo’s record-breaking 902 career goals and an unparalleled trophy cabinet.

Cassano, who scored just four goals during his time at Madrid compared to the 450 goals Ronaldo has for the club, has never been shy about criticizing the Portuguese legend.

He has previously called the Portugual international “selfish” and urged him to retire, even going so far as to rank him outside of the top five greatest players of all time.

But in his latest tirade, Cassano took aim at Ronaldo’s playing style, comparing him unfavorably to strikers like Higuain, Benzema, and Lewandowski, claiming they “knew how to link-up with the team,” unlike Ronaldo, whose “only objective has always been to score.”

This ongoing saga between Cassano and the 5-time Ballon D’or winner even includes a personal confrontation, with Ronaldo reportedly messaging Cassano to demand respect for his achievements.

However, the Italian forward remains unbothered, standing firm in his criticism and suggesting Ronaldo could learn a lesson in humility from Lionel Messi, saying, “Take your example from Messi; he doesn’t give a damn about anything or anyone.”
