Romelu Lukaku is not worth talking about — Inter Legend
Former Inter Milan player, Romelu Lukaku comes under heavy fire from Inter legend, Alessandro Altobelli over the Belgian’s transfer situation and how the drama has been managed by the Chelsea striker.
Romelu Lukaku following his first season with Chelsea in the 2021/22 season, spent the 2022-2023 season on loan at Inter Milan after pushing a return back to the San Siro.
The Belgian had originally wanted to remain at Inter Milan this summer transfer window, with Inter ready to negotiate a deal with his parent club, however the transfer saga came on to bite Inter back in the face when Juventus came into the picture.
The move surprised many, including the Juventus fans who led a protest following their recent friendly against the potential signing of the Belgian.
Inter Milan, meanwhile, are looking for a new striker this summer transfer window to replace Edin Dzeko who completed a move to Turkish club Fenerbahce and the Romelu Lukaku who is no longer a priority signing for the club.
Inter are looking to sign Marko Arnautovic from Bologna in a low-cost deal.
In response to the transfer saga, Inter Milan legend, Alessandro Altobelli endorsed the move for Arnautovic and hit out at Romelu Lukaku.
Altobelli said,
“Dzeko received a nice offer in Turkey and Lukaku is not even worth talking about, he mocked an entire fanbase, indeed all Italian fans, because there are ways and means to try to achieve your goals.”
Currently, the Belgian faces opposition from all angles, including new Chelsea manager, Mauricio Pochettino who is reportedly not interested in Lukaku’s presence in his Chelsea team.
Hence, the former Manchester United striker is out looking for a new club for the new season.
