Rogue giants ready to deal Chelsea massive Cole Palmer blow

Chelsea’s Cole Palmer is stealing the spotlight, not just in the Premier League but on the radar of Europe’s biggest clubs, with Real Madrid tipped as potential suitors for a jaw-dropping £150 million move next summer.

The 22-year-old sensation, who joined Chelsea for £40 million, is making waves in his debut season at Stamford Bridge.

Palmer’s latest masterclass—a brace and an assist in Chelsea’s thrilling 4-3 win over Tottenham—has taken his league tally to 11 goals and six assists.

Among those contributions was a Panenka penalty that cemented his place in history, breaking Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s 22-year record for most Premier League goal contributions (37) in a calendar year.

It’s performances like these that have pundits buzzing. Liverpool legend Graeme Souness, writing in The Daily Mail, boldly claimed that Real Madrid could table a massive £150 million bid for Cole Palmer if he maintains his scintillating form.

“He’s got silky skills, athleticism, and a fabulous football brain,” Souness said. “At 22, no one ought to be that good. If this is Palmer’s level, he’s going to be a top man.”

Palmer’s meteoric rise at Chelsea is even more striking considering the club’s turbulent overhaul in recent seasons. Under manager Enzo Maresca, however, Chelsea have turned their fortunes around and now sit second in the Premier League, just four points behind Liverpool.

Cole Palmer, with his two-year contract extension signed in the summer, is central to their resurgence.

Despite Chelsea’s improved stability, Real Madrid’s financial clout and track record of acquiring emerging stars make this rumor impossible to ignore. But prying Cole Palmer away won’t come cheap.

With a deal that runs until 2033, Chelsea hold all the leverage, making any transfer an expensive proposition.

Fans are divided:

  • “Palmer’s ceiling is sky-high; Real Madrid would be lucky to have him.”
  • “Chelsea won’t let him go, even for £150M. He’s the future of our attack.”
  • “Madrid doesn’t just buy players; they buy superstars. Palmer is next.”
