Right after her wedding, actress Rita Dominic took to her social media handles to change her name to her husband’s and this has gathered quite a reaction.

A supposed Ghanaian feminist, by the name of Dinah Antwiaa Twumasi, questioned Nigerian actress Rita Dominic’s choice to append her husband’s surname to hers on social media only hours after they married.

Recall that the actress, Rita Dominic and her husband, Fidelis Anosike, had a stunning white wedding in the United Kingdom over the weekend.

Following the event, Dominic changed her name to Rita Dominic Anosike on her social media profiles, which triggered the feminist, Dinah to react.

She turned to the microblogging platform, Twitter to ask why Rita Dominic, a worldwide brand, would alter her name to Mrs Fidelis Anosike.

The feminist asked why it was always the woman’s responsibility to let up some areas of her own life after marriage.

In a now-deleted tweet, she wrote; ”Just hours after her white wedding, a household name, a global brand Rita Dominic is now called Mrs. Fidelis Anosike! Why, why must women always have to be the ones letting go after marriage?”
