RHF calls on rich Nigerians to support the health sector

The Ray of Hope Foundation (RHF) has urged wealthy Nigerians to assist the the less-privileged to gain better access to qualitative healthcare.

The Coordinator of the RHF, Dr Adeleye Jasper made the call in Ijare Community in Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State, during the free medical treatment programme offered to the people in some communities in the local government.

No less than 1,500 people of the local government benefitted from the free three-day treatment programme offered by RHF.

Jasper said, “I would not say the government are not trying because we know the country is facing challenges at this period of time. We should not put the blame on the government. Let us as wealthy people, corporate bodies and other organisations do what they can do for their immediate environs and not wait for the government to do everything.

“I know the health sector is facing serious challenges and our projection is to bring free hospitals that when people are sick, they can truly have proper healthcare, except for the treatment of very serious ailments or terminal diseases. So we are looking forward to seeing what we could come up with for the benefit of the community.

“These are our people, we want to always see them strong at all times. We also took it upon ourselves that the grassroots people need to be more healthy during and after the festive period. That is why we are reaching out to those who are sick because health is wealth. We are happy that the people are trooping out to get free health care. We have over 15 doctors to treat the people.”
