Revealed: Why Pastor Sunday Adelaja Is After Men Of God In Nigeria

The first time I came to know about Pastor Sunday Adelaja was in 2007 during my visit to the Middle East. I was in my hotel room in the ancient city of Amman, the capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Flipping through the TV channels, out of the blue I saw a black man preaching to a mammoth crowd of white worshippers. I got fixated on his message and since then i started listening to his teachings. Pastor Sunday Adelaja, founder and senior pastor of the Embassy of the Blessed Kingdom of God for All Nations, a charismatic church based in Kiev, Ukraine is not a household name in the Nigerian Christian community Only a few pastors and members of the Christendom knows about him due to his long sojourn abroad that has made him bereft of what is happening in the local front.

The Ijebu-Ode born preacher first moved to Minsk, Belarus in 1986 where he studied journalism at the Belarusian State University in Minsk, Belarus. After graduation and the breakdown of the USSR, he moved from Belarus to Ukraine in December 1993. He was able to break through the formidable religious walls of the predominantly orthodox communist nation. He has a massive ministry in Ukraine and his church is reputed to be the largest Pentecostal church in Europe. Pastor Sunday Adelaja has received numerous enviable awards from Nigeria and abroad. He used to be a special guest at the RCCG campground the church he now criticize and regarded as ‘’the church on the way to hell’’ One of the problems of Pastor Sunday Adelaja is that he is full of himself, he thinks he knows all, a man who is so much engulfed by his human knowledge rather than allowing the holy spirit to direct him. I stopped listening to his messages when I noticed that he has been possessed by the spirit of Balaam. Pastor Sunday Adelaja is no longer the preacher he used to be, he now preaches heresy and interprets the holy scripture to suit him.

He regards himself as the only true and perfect pastor in the world, every other pastor is fake. Pastor Sunday Adelaja’s recent attacks and vilification of Men of God in Nigeria is aimed at causing confusion in the body of Christ by instigating church members against their pastors. Who is Pastor Sunday Adelaja that judges a fellow pastor? Has he exhausted all the messages he has that he has made pastors and churches his sermon topics? The evil spirit of jealousy and envy has possessed him. Because he doesn’t operate in the miraculous and the prophetic doesn’t mean that pastors who operate on such gift are fake. He should be in his lane and allow other pastors to be in their lane. The world is too large to accommodate everyone with his or her own ministerial gifts.

Pastor Sunday Adelaja is too small to insult and make a public ridicule of our fathers of faith, viz, Pastor  E.A. Adeboye, Bishop David Oyedepo, Pastor W.F Kumuyi, Papa Ayo Oritsejafor and a host of others. He is a man who is on a mission to cause disunity in the body of Christ in the name of revolutionizing the Nigerian church by turning members against their pastors. He has suddenly become a wolf amongst the sheep, It’s disheartening for me because he has chosen the path of ignominy. August this year he released a video on his Facebook page to the amusement of his gullible followers where he rubbished Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and Pastor T.B Joshua accusing them of using witchcraft powers in performing miracles and he boasted that when he returns to Nigeria to established his perfect church he will drive the duo out of the country. However, the duo of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome and T.B Joshua has been waxing stronger in their ministerial assignments.

Nevertheless, Pastor Sunday Adelaja the accuser of men of God and the church has been through scandals in Ukraine. He was accused of having extra-marital affairs with some female members of his church which he denied. In the heat of the scandal no man of God did a video to mock or castigated him, rather the body of Christ was praying for him to overcome the challenges he was passing through. Secondly, when he was accused of coaxing his church members into investing their money in a fraudulent financial scheme in Ukraine like MMM in Nigeria which later crashed and all those who invested in the scheme lost their money to the tune of over $100million, still no man of God or even a church member did a video to mock him.

According to report, top hierarchies of his church are angry with him because they said he used the proceed’s from the church in Ukraine for personal investment in Nigeria and it was said that he is the owner of  GS Microfinance Bank Limited in Lagos.

Pastor Sunday Adelaja admitted that the bank exists but the management only used his name and influence in the establishment of the bank. This year when Apostle Johnson Suleman was blackmailed by Stephanie Otobo, Pastor Sunday Adelaja hurriedly did a video where he made an open mockery of the man of God by concluding that he was guilty and he knows that he must have sorted it out with his God.

In another video released by him two days ago, where he outrightly criticized Pastor Enoch Adeboye, Dr. Paul Enenche and other ministers who were seen praying for their members by releasing fatherly blessing to them. According to Pastor Sunday Adelaja, prayer in the name of fatherly blessing is wrong. He equally said that laying of hands on their members is a wrong practice he described it as ritual and magic. He further said that there’s nothing like fatherly blessing he even said that people should stop going to church that they should seek God by themselves. Is Pastor Sunday Adelaja trying to tell us that Jesus Christ and the disciples of old committed sin by laying hands on people? It seems that he wants to prove to us that he knows the word more than Jesus Christ who is the word himself?  I have never seen a Muslim cleric fight or criticize a fellow cleric, they rather correct one another’s mistake in love and this is the edge they have over the Christians that has made them be more united than us.

It is obvious that Pastor Sunday Adelaja has lost grip on his church in Kiev to the Ukrainian authority that was why he announced his imminent return to Nigeria. I see a man who is not happy about his travails abroad after the impact he has made, a man who is jealous of the massive growth of some churches in Nigeria hence he want to bring them down. He doesn’t want to come to Nigeria and start his church from the scratch that’s why he came up with the strategy of attacking men of God in Nigeria saying they are fake. By these he could draw out their members and then establish his much talked about  ”perfect church”

He condemns pastors who lay hands on their members. What is he doing?

There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

We should beware of the wolf in our midst.
