REVEALED: Erik Ten Hag To Come For Victor Osimhen

Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, has reportedly urged the club’s hierarchy to make a move for Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen, in the summer transfer window. Despite the Red Devils’ impressive performances this season, the Dutchman is keen to bring in a new striker to strengthen his attacking options.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Osimhen is Ten Hag’s top target for the summer transfer window. The 23-year-old has been in excellent form for Napoli this season, scoring 19 goals in just 20 Serie A appearances.

However, Manchester United may face a tough time negotiating a deal with Napoli, as the Italian club’s owner, Aurelio De Laurentiis, is known for being a tough negotiator. Osimhen has also been linked with another Premier League giant, Chelsea, which could drive up his price.

Osimhen joined Napoli from Lille for a reported fee of €70 million in the summer of 2020. The Nigerian striker has been a revelation in Italy, scoring some important goals for the club.

Manchester United’s current first-choice striker, Edinson Cavani, is yet to commit his future to the club. The 34-year-old’s contract expires at the end of the season, and he is yet to sign an extension. Even if Cavani does stay at Old Trafford, Ten Hag is still keen to add another striker to his squad for the upcoming season.

The Red Devils have been linked with several strikers in recent months, including Erling Haaland of Borussia Dortmund and Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane. However, it appears that Osimhen is now the manager’s top target for the summer transfer window.
