Resident doctors of UCH commence 3 days Strike, fume over assault on members

Association of Resident Doctors of UCH, Ibadan have commenced work action over claim of assault on one of their members. This action is to enable them protest the incident.
TopNaija.ng gathered that the assault was committed upon a senior registrar of the hospital on Saturday by administrative officers on UCH premises.
Following the incident, an exigency general meeting was held resolving that the doctors stop work for 3 days and hope for the arrest of the assaulters and eventually charge them to court as soon as possible.
The hospital has about 65 service and clinical departments and runs 96 consultative out-patient clinics a week in 50 specialty and sub-specialty disciplines. In addition to the College of Medicine, the Hospital “houses” a Virology Research laboratory, a W.H.O Collaborating Centre in Immunology and an Institute of Advanced Medical Research and Training.(IAMRAT)
