See the real reason Zlatan is in the Headies Next Rated Category

Various reactions trailed Zlatan’s nomination for Headies Next Rated category this year, with many saying he is above the category.

The Headies 2019 is almost here, nominations have been announced, voting is on and the hosts have been revealed. One category continues to be the source of debate every year and this year is no exception; The Next Rated Category

This year Zlatan has been nominated alongside Rema, Joeboy, Fireboy DML, Victor AD and Lyta for the prestigious award which was clinched by Mayorkun in 2018.

Zlatan doesn’t feel he should be in that category and he has said this not so subtly in a tweet. According to the organizers, the Next Rated Category is for an artist who is yet to release an album.

Next Rated for example are officially unreleased artiste in the year under review. This means, no matter how good or popular your song may be, how many hit singles or how many good music videos you may have, if you have not recorded and released an official album, you are still eligible to be nominated for that category. In the same vein, you may start your career a year ago, as long as you have released an album, will not the eligible for nomiation in the Next Rated Category.
