Real Madrid ready to replace Casemiro
Real Madrid are ready for life post Casemiro as they have began scouting targets, specifically in Newcastle United’s Bruno Guimarães and Monaco’s Aurelien Tchouameni in the closing future, according to reports.
Casemiro has been a key member of the Real Madrid squad since making his breakthrough debut under Zinedine Zidane in 2016 forming a trio partnership in midfield alongside Toni Kroos and Luka Modric, that was unrivaled in Europe.
The 30-year-old Brazilian has helped the Los Blancos win three La Liga titles and four Champions League trophies, among other honours.
But according to reports, Real Madrid don’t exactly see the Brazilian as indispensable anymore as they look to revamp their squad in the summer. And considering their midfield is running past its prime, tweaking it has become one of their priorities.
With a midfield of 36, and 32 that contains Modric and Kroos respectively, Casemiro is the only player who Real Madrid feel can generate some revenue if sold. The idea thus will be to invest that money to bring in a younger player to herald a Midfield new age.
Tchouameni, who has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in France, is seen as an heir of sorts for Casemiro. Although, some reports tell he is also been eyed by Liverpool on the other side of Europe.
Guimarães, is also seen as another alternative should a deal not be reached for Tchouameni.
