Real Madrid Eye Marcus Rashford as Benzema Replacement

Some months back, the idea of Marcus Rashford seeking a move to Real Madrid would have been termed preposterous, let alone the idea of the Englishman turning out to become a Karim Benzema replacement.

But as the reports go, Rashford becoming a Karim Benzema replacement may just about be what La Liga giants, Real Madrid are eyeing considering Manchester United star’s current contract situation at Old Trafford.

Real Madrid has identified Marcus Rashford of Manchester United as Karim Benzema’s successor.

According to El Nacional, Benzema has six months left on his deal with the Spanish superpower and has the option to become a free agent in June 2023.

Since Benzema has only made eight LaLiga games this season owing to ongoing injury problems, he is no longer the player he once was.

The Frenchman is no longer a reliable source for Real Madrid because he is nearing the conclusion of his playing career.

Now that Rashford has gained some form of consistency, the storied striker might be replaced.

According to a 2022 ESPN article, Marcus Rashford was valued at more over £120 million by Manchester United.

The Englishman is in the final six months of his contract at Old Trafford, so failing to sell him now might result in the Red Devils losing him on a free transfer at the conclusion of the season.
