Real Madrid deserve respect–Fabregas
Would anyone who undermines Real Madrid after the 2021/22 Champions League final still be considered a football fan?
Seriously, they have proved themselves over and over again in this competition, knocking out the big guns of Chelsea, PSG, Manchester City and Liverpool in succession to get to the trophy they’ve been denied of since the 2018 edition.
And now, former Arsenal, Barcelona, Chelsea man; Cesc Fabregas has had his say on those who fail to recognize the massive statement Madrid came to the final to make.
Cesc Fabregas believes the final in Paris is very even as he considers that, unlike the Chelsea, Manchester City and PSG games, Real Madrid were not outmatched nor outplayed by Liverpool.
The former Arsenal man admitted to ‘Catalunya Radio’ that in the last 16, quarter-finals and even semis, he doubted that Madrid could go all the way.
“I thought that PSG were better, Chelsea were better and City were better… They’re in the final and you’ve got to respect them.” he said.
“Real Madrid know their way of playing, they’re very good, the Real Madrid shirt weighs a lot on their and their opponents’ mind, they’re a very competitive side. They believe in themselves and are going until the end,” he concluded.
