Reactions as prisoners show off nicely decorated cell room

A prisoner has caused outrage on social media after posting a video of his cell and likened it to a hotel room.

In the video posted by the unidentified inmate, his cell was nicely decorated with expensive gadgets and even a flatscreen TV.

The video featured things like a humidifier, speaker ­system, landline telephone to receive calls, and a leather seat next to his bed.

He dubbed his lifestyle “HMP livin” and bragged: “When ya prison cell lookin like a hotel room.”

The prisoner also boasted about his “night in by the fire” with a video of logs burning on his flatscreen television.

In another video, the unidentified inmate shared images of prisoners wearing expensive designer clothes. Their faces are covered with emojis.

His TikTok posts have sparked tension as taxpayers whose money funds his lifestyle, called out authorities.

A mother of three, Crystal Jayne, said she sleeps on the floor to make space for her children but a prisoner is showing off his lavish lifestyle.

She wrote: “Think I might break the law for a comfy bed and peace.”

Charlotte Holland said: “Can’t believe I pay tax on this.”
