Rat poison seller kidnap and murder 8-year-old boy in Oyo
A rat poison seller, accompanied by his three children has been paraded by the authorities for the murder of an 8-year-old boy.
TopNaija reports that the Nigeria Police Force, Oyo State Command. have arrested and paraded the four suspects for the alleged murder of young lad, Abdulraheem Bamimore at the Ibadan police headquarters at Eleyele.
According to the report, the suspects committed the crime on March 4 in the Saki area of the State.
Speaking on the case, the police commissioner, Ngozi Onadeko stated that the suspects were caught on Monday, March 7 for abduction and killing of the young boy.
“The dragnet of the command caught up with the suspects on Monday for allegedly abducting and murdering Abdulraheem, an eight-year-old minor.” Onadeko says
Two of the suspects reportedly lured the victim to a hidden location to get a ransom from his parents. However, they killed the boy when he recognized them.
“On March 7, a search party was organised and during the process, the lifeless body of the victim named Abdulraheem Bamimore (male), aged eight years, was found inside an uncompleted building at Alubarika area, Saki.
“Upon interrogation, two of the suspects (names withheld), confessed to having conspired to kidnap the victim for ransom but eventually killed him because he (victim) recognised and could identify them.
Further updates on the incident would be provided in due course as the investigation continues,” Onadeko said.
