Rashford hits back at Manchester United legend, Roy Keane
Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has hit back at criticism from former player Roy Keane, responding to comments regarding his goal celebration during the recent 2-2 draw against Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.
The 26-year-old scored the team’s second goal in collaboration with Rasmus Hojlund, marking his first home goal since May 2023.
In his celebration, Rashford appeared to gesture towards critics, indicating that they talk too much.
Roy Keane, now a pundit on Sky Sports, questioned Rashford’s demeanor, saying, “We need to see more of this [Rashford’s overall performance]. Why does he seem to be upset with everybody?” Keane acknowledged Rashford’s improved performance but emphasized the need for consistency.
A fan took to social media, suggesting that Rashford’s celebration was a response to the abuse he received for commenting on Jadon Sancho’s post earlier in the week.
The fan argued that Rashford was targeted for questions about his loyalty and commitment to the team.
Rashford addressed the fan’s claim, stating, “Thank you for clarifying this matter,” which is in obvious response to his critics.
