PSG has reportedly sacked Mauricio Pochettino as manager after reaching an agreement.

According to analysts, the club’s Champions League exit to Real Madrid in the last-16 played a major role in his exit as manager of the Ligue 1 giants.

Although an official announcement is yet to be made, Wednesday reports from ESPN revealed that he had been sacked.

Christophe Galtier is rumoured as favourite replacement for Pochettino with Luis Campos replacing Leonardo as sporting director.

Talks are reportedly ongoing with the Nice head coach, as he is keen to take charge of the French champions.

Earlier rumours suggested that Zinedine Zidane would be the preferred choice of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, after a successful meeting with the Emir of Qatar.

Pochettino has been in charge of Paris-Saint-Germain for 18 months. He has won the League 1 title in his first full season finishing 15 points clear of second-placed Marseille.
