Prophet defiles 13-year-old girl in Ekiti

A middle-aged prophet has been arrested by the police after raping a 13-year-old minor in her mother’s house in Ado Ekiti.

The rapist, identified as Adeleye Akingbaso, 45 who happens to be a prophet was detained in the Nigeria Correctional Centre in Ado Ekiti for allegedly defiling a minor.

TopNaija understands that Akingbaso raped the 13-year-old girl, at Ajowa Area of Ado Ekiti on 25th July 2022 and was detained in the correctional centre by an Ekiti State Chief Magistrate Court.

The victim confirmed that the said prophet was the boyfriend of her mother, who often sleeps in their house.

After her mother left for night duty, the prophet raped her and then warned her never to tell anyone or she dies.

The victim said: “The Prophet is my mother’s man-friend, he used to sleep in our house; on that day, my mummy left for night duty but the Prophet slept in our house. In the midnight, he woke me and said I had bed wet, I said no, he gave me shea butter and salt to rub my private part, I did as he directed, when I woke on the second day, I saw him beside me and discovered that I have been raped, he warned me not to tell anybody because I will run mad.

“He came back on the third day, he said, he wanted to renew what he gave me earlier by having sex with me, I ran out of the house and informed our neighbours, they called my mother and narrated what happened to her, he was arrested and handed over to the Police.”

The Police Prosecutor, Inspector Bamigbade Olumide, who made the remand order request, said that issuing the order would enable the Police to conclude their investigation and send the duplicate case file to the Director of Public Prosecutions’ office for legal counsel.

During the court ruling, Magistrate Olu Bamidele stated that the defendant was to be remanded at the Nigeria Correctional Centre in Ado Ekiti pending the issuance of legal advice by the Director of Public Prosecutions.
