Prince Charles To Walk Meghan Markle Down The Aisle

Kensington Palace has revealed that Prince Charles will walk Meghan Markle down the aisle in place of her father as she marries his son Prince Harry tomorrow.

Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle Sr., will not be able to make the wedding due to the open heart surgery he had this week. Hence, Prince Harry’s father, Prince Charles will do the honors.

Kensington Palace announced: “Ms. Meghan Markle has asked His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales to accompany her down the aisle of the Quire of St George’s Chapel on her Wedding Day.

“The Prince of Wales is pleased to be able to welcome Ms. Markle to The Royal Family in this way.”

The Prince of Wales will accompany Meghan Markle down just one half of the aisle at St George’s Chapel but no one will “give her away”.

This decision comes as a shock to some royal fans because it was thought her mother Doria Ragland would walk the bride down the aisle.
