President Tinubu reassures energy sector investors, inaugurates milestone projects
President Bola Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to bolstering the business environment for investors in the energy sector.
This assurance came during the inauguration of three significant projects aimed at advancing Nigeria’s gas infrastructure.
The projects inaugurated include the expanded AHL Gas Processing Plant, the ANOH Gas Processing Plant, and the 23.3km ANOH to Obiafu-Obrikom-Oben (OB3) Custody Transfer Metering Station Gas Pipeline.
President Tinubu emphasized the alignment of these projects with the Decade of Gas Initiative and the government’s vision to leverage the nation’s abundant gas resources for economic growth.
Speaking at the virtual inauguration, President Tinubu highlighted the pivotal role of these projects in enhancing energy supply, boosting industrial growth, and creating employment opportunities.
He commended the strategic vision of NNPC Limited and its partners for their contribution to these endeavors.
The President underscored his government’s determination to harness Nigeria’s vast gas capacity to drive economic prosperity, citing initiatives like the Presidential CNG initiative aimed at transitioning from petrol and diesel to cleaner energy sources.
He called for increased efforts to accelerate investment and development in the gas sector.
President Tinubu reiterated his administration’s commitment to deepening domestic gas utilization, increasing power generation capacity, revitalizing industries, and creating job opportunities for economic advancement.
The inauguration of these projects marks a significant milestone in Nigeria’s journey towards energy sufficiency and economic transformation under President Tinubu’s leadership.
