President Bola Tinubu has appointed seven board members of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Board.

According to a statement by Presidential spokesperson Ajuri Ngelale, the President emphasized the need for the board members to apply their extensive experience and competence in regulating the country’s capital market effectively.

The newly appointed members include:

  • Mairiga Aliyu Katuka as Chairman,
  • Emomotimi Agama as Director-General,
  • Frana Chukwuogor as Executive Commissioner (Legal and Enforcement),
  • Bola Ajomale as Executive Commissioner (Operations),
  • Samiya Hassan Usman as Executive Commissioner (Corporate Services),
  • Lekan Bello as Non-Executive Commissioner, and
  • Kasimu Garba Kurfi as Non-Executive Commissioner.
