Enemona Josh Humanitarian Foundation’s founder, Gabriel Onoja, has been arrested by the police. He is also the president of the non- governmental organization.

It was reported earlier on Thursday that the 35-year-old young man, who has been in the news for his philanthropic activities across the state, was said to have been picked up around 10.30 am on Thursday.

He was abducted by gunmen in his house on Wada Road, Lokoja, but Williams Illah, the Executive Director of the NGO, said in a statement, that his whereabouts had been established.

Williams Illah, while condemning the manner he was arrested, said it was over a business transaction between him and his partners. This manner he described as uncivilised.

He said, “At the moment, it is confirmed that our founder is in the safe hands of security agents where certain harmonisation of business agreement is expected between him and his partners.”

As of the time of filing this report, the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP William Aya, had yet to respond to calls and text messages from our correspondent on the incident.
