The incident garnered attention as President Biden, at 80 years old, is currently the oldest serving president in US history.

The incident occurred after the president had been standing for approximately an hour and a half to personally congratulate each of the 921 graduating cadets.

As President Biden made his way across the stage, he tripped on a black sandbag, causing him to momentarily lose his balance.

However, Air Force officials quickly came to his aid, assisting him in getting back on his feet.

The president then proceeded to walk back to his seat unassisted.

Ben LaBolt, the White House communications director, took to Twitter to assure the public that President Biden was fine.

LaBolt explained that there had been a sandbag on the stage, which the president had inadvertently tripped on while moving about.

Footage of the incident shows President Biden gesturing towards the sandbag as he recovers his balance.

Critics of President Biden have previously raised concerns about his age, arguing that he may be too old to run for a second term.

Recent polls have indicated that a majority of US voters share these concerns, given his advanced age.

If President Biden were to win a second term, he would begin it at 82 years old.
