A few hours ago May 26, the incumbent President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, gave the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, an exclusive tour of the State House in Abuja.

The day was marked with a sense of camaraderie as the duo undertook this tour after jointly participating in the Jumaat service, a weekly congregational prayer that is part of the Islamic tradition. This noteworthy tour served to underline the continuity of leadership and the smooth transition of power within the Nigerian political sphere.

An enthralling video snippet capturing snippets from the tour was recorded, offering a peek into the interaction between the outgoing and the incoming presidents. This engaging visual documentation provides insight into the narratives of leadership and governance that transcend the change of administration.

In a parallel event, Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo also played host to Vice President-elect Senator Kashim Shettima. He provided him with an extensive orientation of the Office of the Vice President (OVP) within the presidential villa. This significant tour aimed to familiarize the incoming Vice President with the office’s responsibilities and workings.

Following this hour-long interactive tour, Senator Shettima engaged with state house correspondents. Expressing his commitment to assuming his responsibilities posthaste after the official swearing-in, Shettima revealed that the tour had been productive.
