Premier League Predictions For The Weekend

The Premier League weekend predictions return for another big match week, one that has pride and glory at stage, and features the top 2 giants of English football duking heads at the famous Anfield ground.

However, that comes much later as the match week 17 begins on Friday 15th December with
Nottingham Forest 20:00 Tottenham Hotspur taking on each other at the City Ground.

Tottenham Hotspur built themselves a record they wouldn’t be all too pleased with after losing 4 consecutive matches in a row despite going in front. They however regained their mojo when they routed Newcastle United 4-1 last weekend to get back to winning ways.

Against Nottingham Forest, we see a different narrative though, considering Forest despite not getting the results they would want from their games, still remain formidable especially at their home ground; the City Ground.

We predict this premier league tie ending in a 2-2 draw for both teams.

The premier league weekend returns proper on Saturday 16th December with Bournemouth 15:00 Luton Town butting heads at the Vitality Stadium.

With AFC Bournemouth in good form recently, Luton Town may be the side they would be relieved at playing on a Saturday match day, however that is us writing off what Luton Town have done so far, even though they ended up not finishing it.

In our premier league predictions, we predict a 2-1 win for the Cherries who hold the home advantage.

Three other concurrent matches run parallel to the Bournemouth-Luton clash as Chelsea 15:00 Sheffield United battle each other alongside Manchester City 15:00 Crystal Palace and Newcastle United 15:00 Fulham

For Chelsea vs. Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge, we predict a return to winning ways for the Blues.

In our premier league predictions, we don’t see Sheffield United stealing any points from the Blues like they did in the 2019/20 season when they came from behind to draw 2-2 in West-London. They may have the same manager in Chris Wilder, but it would be long reaching their 2019/20 season form.

We predict a 2-0 win for the Blues against the Blades.

Manchester City vs. Crystal Palace is another tie that seems quite easy to predict but knowing Crystal Palace’s record against the Cityzens, we would want to stay on the safer side by predicting a 1-1 draw for the two teams.

Newcastle United vs. Fulham is a case of the hunter becoming the hunted.

The Magpies somehow have lost the wow factor they had last season, and following their crash from Europe and Fulham’s good form in 2 games, we would have the Cottagers as favorites in our premier league predictions.

We have Fulham stealing a 2-4 win at the Saint James’ Park.

Burnley 17:30 Everton is a return to Turf Moor for Sean Dyche, and with Everton being on a winning streak to move themselves away from the relegation zone, Vincent Kompany would be looking for same miracle when facing Burnley’s former boss.

In our premier league predictions, we don’t consider Burnley being a tough match for the Toffees, we predict a 1-3 win for the Merseyside Blues.

Sunday 17th December brings us its exciting row of fixtures, concurrent 2 pm kickoffs with Arsenal 14:00 Brighton and Hove Albion duking things out at the Emirates. We predict an Arsenal victory against Roberto Di Zerbi’s side.

A 2-1 win for the North London side will put the Gunners at the top spot of the premier league for at least a few hours until Liverpool takes on Manchester United.

Brentford 14:00 Aston Villa is by far another interesting tie that is sure to wow neutrals. Villa haven’t had a good away record when compared to their home run, which gives Brentford the advantage.

However, we don’t consider the Bees coming out with all 3 points against Unai Emery’s army. In our premier league predictions, we predict a 2-2 or perhaps a 3-3 draw at the Capital.

West Ham United 14:00 Wolverhampton Wanderers is a prelude to the all important English Classic, and as a prelude, we do not expect much, but we predict the tides going in favor of Wolverhampton in a 2-3 win at the London Stadium.

Liverpool 16:30 Manchester United ends match week 17 and the weekend games.

Contrary to what pundits and punters may be saying of this match, we do not see Liverpool winning this premier league tie as many predictions have stated.

For all Manchester United are and are not, this is a derby, and in a derby match, form goes off the window. The 7-0 tie last season was a fluke result that should not happen again. We predict this fixture ending in a 0-1 win for Manchester United to leave the weekend in a state of shock.

I can’t see Manchester United winning there; Peter Schmeichel
