Premier League Predictions For The Weekend

The December fixtures are back, bringing us into a week full of premier league run up of games, along with predictions on how each fixture could possibly go for every team competing for points in Match week 14.

The games start soonest at 3 PM on Saturday the 2nd of December with Arsenal 15:00 Wolverhampton Wanderers engaging in hostilities.

The Gunners are high on form this season, albeit debatable in terms of on pitch performances even if they have been able to get the necessary results to remain in the title challenge. Wolves on the other hand, can be argued to be quite the contrast to Arsenal as despite putting up good attacking performances under new manager, Gary O’Neil, they haven’t been able to get the results either due to poor defensive outplay or controversial VAR calls.

Will it be more of the same narratives, or will Wolves get their day in court in this game? Hard to tell, but in our premier league predictions, we see Arsenal stealing a 3-1 win at the Emirates.

Brentford 15:00 Luton Town comes thick and fast for the Bees, and after the 1-0 defeat to Arsenal last weekend, this is a game they need to boost confidence and gain a breather.

We predict a 2-0 win for Brentford at home to visiting Luton.

Burnley 15:00 Sheffield United is merging the worst teams in the premier league so far and having them take on each other for 3 points. Burnley sits bottom of the league with zero wins in their last 5 premier league games, with Sheffield with 1 win and drawn a in their last 5.

In TopNaija’s premier league predictions for the weekend, we have our eyes set on a draw for both teams. A 2-2 draw for both sides seems likely.

Nottingham Forest 17:30 Everton sees Everton facing another difficult side on the road after facing Manchester United at Goodison last weekend.

With the Toffees currently facing the prospect of being relegated this season, it will be interesting to see how Sean Dyche approaches this game. However, we predict a 2-1 win for the home side to hand Everton another loss.

Newcastle United 20:00 Manchester United is by far the biggest game of Saturday, as it brings the Red Devils in yet another clash with the Magpies.

Following a 3-3 draw away to Galatasaray in mid-week, and bearing a grudge for the Carabao Cup elimination at the hands of Newcastle, Manchester United have a rare chance at revenge this Saturday. We predict a 2-2 draw however for both sides.

Sunday 3rd December brings us another batch of premier league hostilities, with the likes of Manchester City and Tottenham set to take over the narratives of Sunday.

For our premier league predictions, we start with the concurrent 2 pm kickoffs;

Bournemouth 14:00 Aston Villa, we predict have elements of a shocker for both teams, specifically for Unai Emery’s Villa.

Bournemouth have been quite formidable on home turf this season, and Villa have a poor away record when compared to home form. We predict a 2-1 shock win for AFC Bournemouth.

Chelsea 14:00 Brighton and Hove Albion; the Blues of West London have grown to become that team no one knows what to expect from this season. From going toe to toe with the big teams and stealing off vital points from them to struggling against smaller opponents, Chelsea have been a big book of narrative this season.

Here is what we think the Blues might conjure up in our premier league predictions;

Following a humiliation at the Saint James’ Park, this weekend provides the Blues an added incentive to go all in and get a result against the Seagulls. However, we predict the result is likely to be a stalemate or a narrow win. A 2-2 or 1-0 score line could go in swing for both sides or for Chelsea.

Liverpool 14:00 Fulham is another game that is very difficult to predict even though the Merseyside Reds stand as favorites on home turf, Anfield.

However, saying Liverpool will win is overlooking the threat that Fulham can become on their day. We predict a 2-0 win for the Reds though, but a shocker should be expected from this game.

West Ham United 14:00 Crystal Palace ends the 2 pm kickoff games, and with both teams struggling this season, we predict a tough tie between the two sides.

For our premier league predictions of this clash, we will hinge on West Ham having the advantage as they stand to face Crystal Palace at home.

We predict a 2-1 win for the Hammers against Roy Hodgson’s team.

Manchester City 16:30 Tottenham Hotspur rounds up match week 14 games and of course could go on to provide lots of narratives for the weekend and the premier league.

Will Manchester City go easy on Ange Postecoglou or will Spurs do what they have always done in previous seasons?

Hard to tell however, but it will be safer to predict a City win than a Spurs win. TopNaija however will want to go on the riskier edge to predict a 1-2 win for Tottenham Hotspur.
