Premier League predictions for the Weekend

Premier League gears for its week 3 games before the international break sets in to disrupt the momentum, and we are here with our predictions for the weekend games.

This weekend, North London side Arsenal are given the privilege of beginning the premier league games at the infamous 12:30pm lunch time kickoff which is very tricky for club sides, however in our predictions, we believe the Gunners will be too much for anything Brighton and Hove Albion can come up with at the Emirates.

We see a 3-1 score line going in favor of the Gunners.

A series of 3 PM kickoff follows up the Arsenal game a few hours later, with the likes of Everton, Aston Villa, Fulham and Brentford taking on respective opponents at the same time.

In Brentford versus Southampton we predict a shocker from the Saints to halt an attempts of a redemption for the Bees. In our premier league predictions, we believe Southampton can churn out a 1-2 win at the capital.

Everton versus Bournemouth is a far trickier game for both sides. The Toffees are eager for their first win of the season and we think this game may be it for Sean Dyche. However, any result can come up here or go against anyone. We predict a 1-0 win for Everton, but it wouldn’t be surprising if AFC Bournemouth come out the victor with a 0-2  win.

Ipswich Town versus Fulham is quite an interesting tie judging from what the Tractor Boys have showed so far following their promotion to the premier league. In our prediction, we see Ipswich getting their first win of the season in a 2-1 win.

Leicester City versus Aston Villa is sure to see Villa bounce back from their 2-0 defeat to Arsenal last weekend, and this won’t be good for a newly promoted Leicester. In our premier league predictions, we see a 1-4 win for Aston Villa.

Nottingham Forest versus Wolverhampton Wanderers has to see Wolves get their redemption story now, doesn’t it?

After 2 opening game defeats, Wolverhampton Wanderers will be desperate for a win to kickstart their season. We think this is the game for Wolves but Forest if any betting man is cautious, are also formidable at the City Ground.

Hence, this game may not go smoothly for Wolverhampton Wanderers. A 1-2 win may help separate both sides or a perfect 1-1 draw.

West Ham United versus Manchester City is a game we see the Cityzens experience their first taste of defeat this season. In our premier league predictions, we see a West Ham 2-1 win to dazzle week 3. So far, the Hammers have been slept on this season, with their defeat to Aston Villa on the opening weekend an unfair result for the East London team.

Sunday 1st September continues the premier league weekend, bringing us some cracking fixtures starting with Chelsea’s 13:30 hosting of Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge.

The Eagles are one side who have had a poor start to the season after 2 back to back defeats. We do not see Chelsea struggling especially at home and we expect a 2-0 win for the Blues.

Newcastle United versus Tottenham Hotspur will probably set the tone for the North West derby that follows immediately after. However, we believe Spurs will force out a 2-2 draw or even possibly a 1-2 win at the Saint James Park.

Manchester United versus Liverpool is for sure a very difficult tie to predict. Despite last weekend’s narratives, Manchester United are far above what they were last season, and if anything, this season they have been very unlucky to not finish the chances they create in front of the opposition box. And with the game scheduled at Old Trafford, Liverpool may not be much of a challenge like everyone thinks.

First, the Merseyside Reds have a new manager who isn’t a Jurgen Klopp that knows how to go about this derby especially at Old Trafford, and secondly, Liverpool despite archiving 2 wins in 2 opening games, haven’t really faced a real test. We think Manchester United will be the first premier league test for Arne Slot and in our predictions, we think the Red Devils have an edge.

We see a 1-0 win goming in favour of Manchester United and Erik ten Hag. However, a surprise cannot be ruled out.
