Premier League Predictions for the Weekend
The weekend returns, and so does premier league predictions for match week 25 to bring us the excitement that is a real title challenge for the first in years as Manchester City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur battle it out for premier league supremacy for the 2023/24 season.
It is a tough one for every club, as some have a much tougher campaign than the others this season, while some have other matters to contend to while the campaign goes on (Manchester City we are looking at you).
Starting with the obvious, the current league leaders will begin the weekend with the hostilities as the Merseyside Reds travel to London to take on the Bees of Brentford.
The Saturday, February 17th affair sees Brentford Vs Liverpool take on each other at 1:30 p.m. kick off time; a time frame that Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has always dreaded.
In our premier league predictions for this game, the Reds will stand as favorites. However, note that anything can go wrong and it depends on which Liverpool side will show up on the day. We predict the Reds to run back to Merseyside with a 1-2 win at the least.
Following the lunch time kick off will see 5 fixtures take on the 4 p.m. time frame with Burnley Vs Arsenal in the mix.
For our premier league predictions, we will again take the away side as favorites with the Gunners eyed for a 0-2 win at Turf Moor.
Newcastle Vs Bournemouth will also take shape, a rematch of the shocker that took place a few months prior to gift AFC Bournemouth a stunning victory against the Magpies.
Will same fate await the Cherries this time? Or will it be a reversal of fortunes? We would predict this tie to end in a 2-1 win at the Saint James’ Park for the home side.
Fulham Vs Aston Villa stands quite the exciting clash that will be one of those games that everyone will overlook until the match wows its audience.
We predict a 3-3 cracker at Cravens Cottage. For some reason, Marco Silva’s Fulham side will head into this clash looking to test the resilience of Aston Villa.
Nottingham Forest Vs West Ham is one of those games where Forest will desperately need to come out of its shell or face relegation beckoning on them.
Its a win and must win game for Nottingham Forest at the City Ground, and with West Ham United coming off a 0-6 humiliation last weekend, Forest should be looking to take advantage of less confident team to grind out at least a 1-0 victory to build on to its season.
However, our premier league predictions has this tie ending in a 2-2 draw for some reason.
Tottenham Vs Wolves by reputation looks like that kind of game that fans and pundits will be talking about for some reason; either as a result of VAR controversy or fine attacking display. The first leg saw Wolverhampton running off with a 2-1 win over Ange Postecoglou’s side while Spurs edged over Wolves in the Carabao Cup 3rd round on penalties.
In essence, this game is not as simple as ticking Tottenham for the win. However, we will have to give Spurs the edge for a 3-2 win at their home turf.
Manchester City Vs Chelsea at 6:30 p.m. will give fans the cracker they deserve on a Saturday evening.
After what was a thrilling 4-4 draw at Stamford Bridge, City will want to afford any such result this time as they hope to remain in the title race.
Judging from Chelsea’s current campaign, it is very easy to place Manchester City as favorites, especially when they sit as the home team and still remain favorites for the premier league title. However, football is football, not arithmetic.
We predict a surprise 1-2 win for Chelsea for what could be a premier league shocker in any matchday predictions. City stumping Chelsea however, should not be written off.
Sunday, February 18 continues hostilities as Sheffield United Vs Brighton take on each other at 3 p.m. kickoff. We predict a 2-4 win for Brighton who currently are having a poor run of form in the league.
Luton Town Vs Manchester United at 5:30 p.m. kickoff looks like one of those fixtures that should have the Red Devils worried.
On paper, Manchester United may look as favorites, but Luton Town this season are one side that everyone tends to overlook until they do something funny in the league. In our predictions for this premier league tie, we see a 2-2 draw taking shape.
Monday, February 19 ends match week 25 with Everton Vs Crystal Palace engaging in hostilities at 9 p.m. kickoff. We predict a 2-0 win for Everton.
