Premier League predictions for Matchday 8 Weekend

The dreaded international break is officially over and Premier League football returns on our screens along with predictions for the upcoming games.

Starting from this Saturday Premier League clubs prep up for hostile waters again in their charge for a place in the table, which makes it appropriate for TopNaija to return with its predictions for the matchday 8 affair.

Resuming to club action is a mini-London derby with North London side Tottenham Hotspur hosting East London side West Ham United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at lunch time kickoff.

Ange Postecoglou’s side will find themselves facing a chance at redemption after last 2-weeks’ shocker versus Brighton and Hove Albion that saw Spurs crash to a 3-2 defeat after taking a 2-goal lead into half-time. This weekend, the North Londoners face a formidable side in the Hammers who despite impressing this season, have been short of meaningful results to boost their spot in the premier league table.

Premier League Predictions for Matchday 7 Weekend

Liverpool are relaxed on Alexander-Arnold — Journalist reveals

In our Premier League Predictions, we will be tempted to give Tottenham their redemption story with 2-1 win at full-time.

Fulham versus Aston Villa is going to be an interesting 3 PM fixture that brings Marco Silva against Unai Emery in loggerheads. We predict a very tough climate for both sides in what could be a 3-2 win for Fulham.

Ipswich Town versus Everton is another test facing the Toffees after surviving Newcastle a few weeks ago in a 0-0 draw.

This weekend they face an Ipswich Town that has big ideas in the premier league despite the results not coming forth. In our Premier League predictions, we see Everton running back to Merseyside with all 3-points in a 0-2 win.

Manchester United faced a chunk part of the international break with the media eye on them and with a visit from Thomas Frank’s Brentford, the media will be more attentive now than ever. Will the Red Devils prevail? That remains to be seen.

We predict a first victory for Manchester United after a couple of games on return to premier league action. Our predictions has United potentially seeing out a 2-1 victory for the second time this season at Old Trafford.

Newcastle United versus Brighton and Hove Albion is a chance for the Magpies to return to the form they were before the interruption of the international break. But Brighton are another side also in the hustling spirit. In our Premier League predictions, we foresee a Newcastle win at Saint James’ Park likely in a 3-2 cracker to match both teams’ attacking flair.

Southampton versus Leicester City could see the Foxes finally get the dividends of their efforts so far in the premier league. We predict a 0-2 win for Leicester.

Bournemouth versus Arsenal for some reason has the element of a premier league shocker on return from the international break, hence in our predictions, we think Bournemouth could run off 2-1 winners at the Vitality Stadium.

Sunday 20th October is on hand to give us the real excitement and presumably announce a return to club football action as some heavy crackers have been set to interest fans.

Wolverhampton Wanderers will host the premier league champions Manchester City at the Molineux at 2 PM kickoff.

Traditionally, punters and fans will expect a City victory by nature of the name. But we see a dramatic tie facing Pep Guardiola. Our predictions has Wolves stealing a 3-2 win from the Cityzens to hand Manchester City their first defeat of the season.

Liverpool versus Chelsea is where the game is as the Reds host the Blues of West London at the famed Anfield Stadium. However, we believe the hype will overshadow the game for a boring 1-1 draw at Full-Time with Arne Slot’s team finally facing a real test.

The Premier League game on Monday 21st October will round up our predictions as Nottingham Forest hosts Crystal Palace at late kickoff at the City Ground. By virtue of current form, we believe Forest has a chance to seal the win at home in a 3-1 win over the Eagles.
