Premier League predictions for Matchday 12 Weekend
After 2-weeks of no club football action, it feels like it was ages ago that the last Premier League game was played. A lot has happened since then as Manchester United now has a new manager at the helm, and Liverpool still top the league table.
However, that is contrary to what this article is here for. The end of the international break resumes our interest in the Premier League, as well as our occasional predictions for the outcomes of the weekend games.

Premier League predictions for Matchday 11 Weekend
As typical of the Premier League weekend, the games resume proper on Saturday noon with West London side Chelsea taking a trip to the King Power Stadium to face Leicester City. This ironically enough is a derby game for the Blues as Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca returns to his former club to contest 3-points at the lunch time kickoff.
The Blues are currently on good form under Maresca, hence it is easy to predict a win for Chelsea. However, we think this game will be tightly contested in a 1-2 win for the London visitors.
Another boogey faces Arsenal at the Emirates as unwitting foes Nottingham Forest comes knocking. The arsenal is presumably still in the Emirates’ armory but there stands the skepticism of whether it will be enough to take down the Forest. In our Premier League predictions, we think Arsenal will edge it in a 1-0 win.
Aston Villa versus Crystal Palace is a chance at redemption for Villa following their 2-0 loss to Liverpool shortly before the international break. With an interest to continue their chase for the top 4 spot, Aston Villa will be eager for a win on Saturday.
Hard to tell if they can succeed considering Crystal Palace have their own agenda as well. We predict a 3-1 win for Unai Emery however.
Bournemouth versus Brighton and Hove Albion may not bear the weight of a fixture like Arsenal versus Chelsea, but this game is sure to entertain viewers. This is a clash of two sides in fine form and great tactics this season. In our Premier League predictions, we believe the Cherries have the home advantage and could salvage a 4-2 win at the Vitality Stadium.
Everton find themselves facing a tougher challenge on return from the international break as Brentford takes a tour of Merseyside this weekend. We predict a 1-3 win for the Bees.
Fulham versus Wolverhampton Wanderers stands a tricky test for both sides despite contrasting fortunes. The West London side stands the team with the most fortunes, but Wolves are the side whose results haven’t marched its display this season. Punters should be wary of this game, but for the sake of our prediction, we favor Wolverhampton to edge it in a 1-2 victory.
Manchester City versus Tottenham Hotspur is perhaps the game of the weekend as two familiar foes return to the turf to dent each other’s fortunes. Prior to the international break, both teams stumbled to a proverbial 2-1 defeat at the hands of their opponents, and now face a chance to redeem those losses, however in a rather ironic game against each other.
We predict a 2-2 draw between the two teams. But, it stands to reason that Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City have what it takes to surprise many with a 4-1 win to boost their title challenge.
Sunday 24th November continues the Premier League games as it re-introduces Liverpool to title challenging narratives as they go visiting a familiar ground that is the Saint Mary’s Stadium to face Southampton.
As tempting as it is to write off Southampton, Arne Slot’s team will be careful to fall into such temptations as the Saints have something to fight for as well as having what it takes to surprise the Reds. However, we predict a 0-2 win for the Reds.
Ipswich Town versus Manchester United is a game every football fan wants to see, owing to the narratives behind it. Fans will be eager to see if Ruben Amorim is exactly as the hype makes him out to be, or another unfortunate manager who is taking on the job on a short term.
We predict the new manager bounce is a stronger narrative that will see United shatter the Tractor Boys in a possible 0-3 win.
Monday 25th November ends matchday 12 of the Premier League with late night kickoff between Newcastle United and West Ham United, two distinct teams united in their quest for maximum points.
In our predictions, we foresee a Newcastle win owing to home advantage in a possible 3-1 victory.
