On the other hand, an article by Hope Newspaper revealed why it is important to know your partner’s genotype before marriage or before welcoming a baby.

The article relayed that the knowledge of genotype is important when choosing a life partner. Intending couples should know each other genotype at the early stage of the relationship before the love goes deeper because emotions and time spent in the relationship can cloud people’s judgement or decision to break up if they are not compatible, thus giving birth to sickle cell children and subjecting themselves and their innocent children to pain, torture, agony which most of the children do not live long to fulfill their dreams.
