Popular YouTuber, Mark Goldbridge hypes up Osimhen to Chelsea
Victor Osimhen is the game-changing striker Stamford Bridge desperately needs, says popular YouTuber and Manchester United fan, Mark Goldbridge.
Drop the epic rivalry between the Blues and the Red Devils, Mark Goldbridge is simply pro-football and wants the premier league competitive again as he sees some positives in Chelsea going after Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen.
This potential move, first reported by renowned journalist David Ornstein, has garnered attention from fans and pundits alike, with many considering it a perfect match for both the player and the club. Popular YouTuber and football enthusiast Mark Goldbridge too wasn’t left out as he took to his podcast to analyze the move and express his excitement about the prospect of Osimhen donning a Chelsea shirt.
He highlighted the Nigerian international’s impressive goal-scoring record, noting:
“This guy scores goals; it’s as simple as that.”
Osimhen has consistently found the back of the net, with 65 goals in 108 appearances for Napoli and 21 goals in 35 games for the Nigerian national team. Goldbridge believes this makes him a vital addition to Chelsea’s attacking lineup, which has struggled to find a consistent goal scorer in recent seasons.

Goldbridge emphasized that Osimhen’s potential move to Chelsea could be transformative for the club. “If there’s one club and one player that fits each other like a glove, then it’s Osimhen in a Chelsea shirt,” he said, underscoring the striker’s ability to make an immediate impact in the Premier League.
He compared Osimhen’s potential influence to that of other top strikers, such as Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins and Newcastle’s Callum Wilson, suggesting that the Nigerian could have a similar effect at Stamford Bridge.
The deal, which could see Romelu Lukaku head to Napoli permanently, is being praised for its strategic value. Goldbridge remarked,
“This just shows that you can do really intelligent business in the transfer window.”
He noted that offloading Lukaku, who has struggled to find form at Chelsea, and bringing in a proven goal scorer like Osimhen could significantly bolster the team’s chances of competing for top honors.
Despite Chelsea’s recent challenges, including managerial changes and squad uncertainties, Goldbridge remains optimistic about the club’s prospects with Osimhen on board.
“It’s amazing how one signing can make me look at Chelsea in a completely different way,” he said.
He believes that securing Osimhen could help Chelsea navigate their transitional phase and provide the goals needed to climb up the Premier League table.
