Rapper and entrepreneur Snoop Dogg has has challenged actor and producer Ryan Reynolds for ownership of the team.

Snoop Dogg has expressed his desire to invest in the team and bring his unique brand of entertainment to the NHL.

Meanwhile, Reynolds, a Canadian native and avid hockey fan, has also made a bid to buy the team and has expressed his intention to bring a winning culture back to Ottawa.

The Senators have struggled on the ice in recent years, failing to make the playoffs in four of the last five seasons. However, the team boasts a loyal fan base and a rich history, having reached the Stanley Cup Finals in 2007.
