Police reveals story behind Jussie Smollett’s arrest
Talented “Empire” actor, Jussie Smollett has been arrested after being charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly filing a false police report, The Washington Post reports.
Smollett turned himself over to custody in Chicago after police issued a felony charge against him yesterday.
According to the police, the actor’s bond hearing at the Cook County Criminal Court is scheduled for 1:30pm (Chicago time).
During a press conference today, Chicago police chief, Eddie Johnson alleged that Smollett sent a false letter and staged the attack because of apparent dissatisfaction with his job and salary.

A joint statement issued by 20th Century Fox Television and Fox Entertainment said they are still evaluating the matter.
“We understand the seriousness of this matter and we respect the legal process. We are evaluating the situation and we are considering our options.”
