Police rescues 12 human trafficking victims in Katsina state

12 people who are victims of human trafficking in the Daura Local Government Area of Katsina state have been rescued by the State Police Command.

Gambo Isah, the spokesman for the police command, confirmed the rescue on Tuesday. He said the victims were about being transported by a Ferry to the Niger Republic on their way to Libya when they were intercepted by the Police.

The victims are; Madinat Adekeje 39, (female) of Kwara state; Aminat Kazeem,25(female) (Oyo state); Orobore Francis,21, (Male, Edo state ); Mike Emuagbon 22(‘M’, Edo state); Oladoke Uhunoma,33 ( female,,Edo state); Elizabeth Idemudia,16(‘Female, Edo state); Fatima Ibrahim,25(female , Osun state); Elizabeth Egbayelo, 32(female,Ondo state); Olawale Oyindamola,19(female, Ondo state)
Victoria Chidi, 14,( female Ondo state);
Folashayo Oluwabunmi, 30, (female, Ogun state) and Suliyat Omotayo, 25( female Ogun state).”

Isah also said, “The Command is making efforts to arrest the owner of the house one Yahaya Dahiru, ‘M’, of Kalgo village, Daura and their driver, one Mas’udu Dusha, ‘M’, of Yankara village, Mai’addua.”
