Police raid kidnappers’ hideout in Lagos, rescue two victims
The Lagos State Police Command has uncovered a hideout belonging to kidnappers in the Ikorodu area of Lagos.
According to the command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hudenyin, the discovery was made on Thursday night.
Speaking in a telephone interview with DAILY POST on Friday, he confirmed that two kidnapped victims were rescued after a crossfire between the police and the kidnappers.
He further disclosed that the police are currently on top of the situation and assured the public that efforts are being made to ensure the safety of residents in the area.
“Yes, the incident is true; the Police are on top of the situation, and the tension has been calmed. Two kidnapped victims were rescued at the scene,” he said.
