Police nab suspected human parts, corpse seller in Ondo
The Police Command in Ondo State has apprehended five suspects for allegedly exhuming corpses at a church cemetery in Ondo town, Ondo State.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Mr Tee-Leo Ikoro, made this known to journalists on Thursday in Akure, Ondo State.
In accordance with him, the five suspects are; Opeyemi Odetola, Lanre Akintola, Clement Adesanoye, Alowonle Kehinde and Jubril Jimoh.
The PPRO who disclosed that the suspects were arrested on Saturday while on the crime, stated that they sell parts of the corpses after exhuming them.
Top Naija learnt that a patrol team led by one lnspector Ayo, attached to Safer Highway Patrol, intercepted the suspects while on a motorbike with a big sack containing human parts from Ondo to the neighbouring Ifetedo town in Osun State, and arrested them.
The police spokesman said that the suspects have confessed to committing the crime, stating that “Investigation has commenced into the matter.”
