The authorities have located a first-year student who went missing after allegedly spending his School fees on sports betting.

A Ugandan student of Kyambogo University, Uganda, identified as Julius Osuta, who went missing after he spent his tuition fees on sports betting, has been found.

TopNaija reports that on Thursday, April 7, Ugandan social media and media houses went haywire with the news of the missing first-year Statistic student.

It was later alleged that Osuta went ‘missing’ after using all his tuition fees on sports betting.

However, it was the fact that the young lad went into hiding due to fear and stress.

According to Daily Monitor, police found him at Arua Park, Kampala a week after, on Thursday morning, April 14, and handed him over to his parents.

It is of no news that sports betting has rendered many individuals, most specifically men, quite broken due to the addiction the game brings.

As with that fact, many has stipulated that a strict ban should be placed by the government on sports betting.
