Police arrest six men for striping and assaulting woman

The Nigerian Police operatives have arrested six male suspects involved in an assault on a 24-year-old lady shown in a video which recently went viral.

The victim was tortured over a missing handset, paraded naked and physically assaulted by the suspects in Edo State.

The Force spokesman, Frank Mba, said in a statement on Thursday that those in custody included the owner of the phone, Otoghile Joel; Lucky Igbinovia (alias One Man Squad) in whose house the young woman was tortured); Manager of Lafun Hotel, Edobor Osemwengi; Kingsley Iyamu; Gregg Eweka and Friday Omorogbe.

It said the suspects were arrested following acting Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu’s directive to the Edo State Police Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu.

“The Edo State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, will be providing more details as the investigation progresses,” the statement said.
