#Pochettino Out -- Chelsea fans turn on Manager despite win

When the placards start going up at Chelsea, one thing runs on every Chelsea manager’s mind; ‘my luck could be running out.’

Despite securing a crucial 2-1 victory against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday, Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino found himself at the center of a social media storm as the #PochOut hashtag briefly surged in popularity among disgruntled Chelsea fans.

The tense encounter saw Mykhailo Mudryk netting the opener for the hosts, swiftly countered by Michael Olise’s equalizer before halftime.

A late-minute penalty expertly converted by Noni Madueke secured the win for Chelsea, propelling them into the top half of the league standings.

However, the triumph failed to quell the dissatisfaction among a segment of Chelsea supporters, who voiced their discontent with Pochettino’s tactics and decisions during the game.

Criticism was particularly directed at Pochettino’s second-half strategies and the substitutions made, notably the removal of Christopher Nkunku from the pitch.

One fan on social media expressed frustration, stating, “Poch really just took off a natural LB and our makeshift LB to bring on another CB, put a CB at RB, and move our RB to LB. GET. HIM. OUT.”

Another tweet read, “I’d rather get Lampard back over this Spurs reject.”

The discontentment was palpable with another supporter posting, “Okay, I have seen enough, #PochOut.”

Under Pochettino’s helm this season, Chelsea has suffered a staggering eight defeats while managing to secure victories in only seven matches. Their current tally of 25 points positions them in the 10th spot on the league table.

Despite the win, Pochettino faces mounting pressure as critics highlight the team’s inconsistent performance under his management.
