Plane Overshoots Abuja Airport Runway
There was à commotion at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja this afternoon when a private aircraft E.A.N chartered by an oil company with its chairman onboard, overshot the runway.
Nine persons, including the pilot, co-pilot and staff of the undisclosed company in the aircraft escaped unhurt.
Two tires of the aircraft pulled off after it overshot the runway.
For a moment, the airport was closed to both local and international flights. Incoming flights were diverted to other airports during the incident.
