Piers Morgan slams Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

Controversial American media personality, Piers Morgan has reacted in outrage to Queen Elizabeth’s statement in reaction to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s decision to step back as “senior” royals.

After a meeting between The Queen, Prince Charles, Prince William, and Prince Harry at the Queen’s private estate in Sandringham, Norfolk, Her Majesty released a statement addressing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s shock announcement.

The Queen’s statement reads: “Today my family had very constructive discussions on the future of my grandson and his family.

“My family and I are entirely supportive of Harry and Meghan’s desire to create a new life as a young family. Although we would have preferred them to remain full-time working Members of the Royal Family, we respect and understand their wish to live a more independent life as a family while remaining a valued part of my family.

“Harry and Meghan have made clear that they do not want to be reliant on public funds in their new lives.

“It has therefore been agreed that there will be a period of transition in which the Sussexes will spend time in Canada and the UK.

“These are complex matters for my family to resolve, and there is some more work to be done, but I have asked for final decisions to be reached in the coming days.”

Reacting to The Queen’s statement, Piers, who has never made secret his dislike for Meghan, accused Meghan and Harry of bullying the queen.

He wrote: “BREAKING: Harry/Meghan have successfully bullied the Queen into letting them have their cake & eat it.”

A larger number of social media users took Piers’ side and called Meghan Markle foul names. But some pointed out that Piers is one of the reasons why the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are stepping back, having bullied them for months.
