Pictures: Former Kuje APC Chairmanship candidate killed by Gunmen

Former All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the February 2022 chairmanship election in Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, Alhaji Hamidu Sarki Gaube, fell victim to a fatal attack on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.

Gunmen took Gaube’s life in an incident that remains shrouded in limited details. Alongside the tragic loss of Gaube, the assailants also kidnapped Jacob Jawo and his son, as well as Gaube’s younger brother.

The circumstances surrounding the attack are yet to be fully elucidated. However, the community was left reeling from the shock of Gaube’s untimely demise.

The deceased was honored with a burial ceremony at Kuje burial ground on Thursday, May 2, 2024. The tragic incident has sent ripples of concern throughout the area, prompting calls for thorough investigation and heightened security measures to prevent further violence.
