PHOTOS: Woman Rising 2017 celebrates outstanding Nigerian women

Woman Rising, an annual celebration of women through music, arts and networking, took place on April 8 and 9.

The 2017 edition of Woman Rising featured performances by Adunni Nefertiti (all-female acapella folk group), Kaline, Evelle, Debbie and Sheillah, as well as percussionist Angela Paz Alhucema, and Nigerian comic actor, Chigul.

The two-day event was hosted by award-winning actress, Kemi Lala Akindoju.
